Dayton Inbound Exchange – April 2016

April 18-22, 2016

Our April incoming exchange from Dayton Ohio was short but filled with enjoyable experiences for the ambassadors and hosts!  Ron Partin provided a VIP tour at the Carl Sandburg house in Flat Rock and gave a glimpse into the history of this very special home.  The Biltmore Estate visit was, of course, a big hit and fortunately, the weather cooperated very nicely.   Waterfalls and the Blue Ridge Parkway provided an experience with the natural beauty of western North Carolina.
Our visitors enjoyed the Trolley and learned about the history and architecture of Asheville as well as catching a brief look into its artsy nature.

Home hosts and ambassadors had a bit of free time in the schedule to enjoy getting to know each other in small groups.  Our home-hosted dinners, in Hendersonville and Asheville, resulted in many compliments for the folks who opened their homes and provided delicious meals for hungry guests.

The brief visit resulted in new friendships as well as reminders of Ohio connections among WNC members. The farewell dinner at the Park Avenue community room was an enjoyable time for all, with promises to keep in touch and hopes for more visits.
