Wichita, Kansas – April 18 – 25, 2017 Inbound

Eighteen ambassadors from Kansas enjoyed the sights and hospitality of the North Carolina mountains and people.  As always, seeing familiar sights through the eyes of our visitors gave us fresh appreciation for the beauty that surrounds us.  Familiar sights such as  the Biltmore, the Arboretum, Blue Ridge Parkway and DuPont State Forest drew oohs and aahs from those seeing them for the first time.  The week also gave the ambassadors a sample of North Carolina weather, from bright sunshine to pouring-down rain, which only added to our enjoyment–the rains made the waterfalls especially impressive!

A Friendship Force experience is complete when participation encompasses all who contribute to the  journey’s success–this includes both visiting and home-based ambassadors’ involvement.  We heard many expressions of enjoyment from both guests and hosts.  Our thanks to all who contributed to this journey, especially our home hosts:  Joan and Al Manfre, Rene and Stan Kumor, Becky and Chuck Elston, Becky Reid and Joe Robustelli, Carol and Jack Mullen, Jan and Ron Partin, Ellen and Mike Brazauskas,  and Karen McDonald and Bill Hogan.
